there is no doubt that the native detroiter jeff mills, as >the wizard<, put his own mark on the cologne psycho thrill club-nights and thus the entire west german rhine area in terms of techno in the years 1991-2007 through his innumerable appearances in the cologne clubevent institution. mills track >mosainga<, which was given to claus bachor in 1996 for publication on his own label, also played a significant part in this well beyond the 2000s. in 1997 for the first time (unofficially) released in advance via roland caspers essence label on a >psycho thrill ep< white-label limited to 500 copies, mosainga finally appeared remastered in 2004 on psycho thrills own >motor city dayz vol.1< (ptne 2111) compilation including a dj-friendly bonus loop and then finally made its way straight into the clubs of the world. the track then received renewed attention beyond its natural decay value in the cologne bnkr years (2011-2016), which were deeply shaped by psycho thrill itself for colognes nitelife, in which the cologne label completely redefined the entire techno culture of the dome metropolis in its own way 2 be propelled forward once again.

a hidden gem within the uk house and minimal landscape, yet an imprint home to favourite cuts for many of the scenes biggest names, modula records has been steadily building its reputation as a home for quality material from some of the scenes brightest rising names over recent years. a stand out of those, ross mccormack, better known by his alias rossi., has risen to become a name at the forefront of londons new names with recent appearances via the likes of fuse, eastenderz, locus, and tamango records. having released his first ever track >rkinn< on the label back in 2018 as part of the mr001 va, he now returns to offer up a facelift alongside the original in its untouched, complete form.

in 2013 drumcell debut his first full length album sleep complex on clr. around the time of the album release drumcell invited three of his close label mates luis flores and raíz truncate from droid and lucy from stroboscopic artefacts to create their own interpretations of his music. the unreleased tracks were constant dance floor tracks used within the teams dj sets and its about time to release these tracks to the public!

succeeding his profound and forward-thinking album >depth charged< which was revealed last february, terence fixmer returns with >depth charged remixed< featuring ostgut tons answer code request and uk’s underground techno hero steve bicknell. >elevation<, originally the final track of the album, emotional and reflective, is kicked up a notch by acrs patrick gräser by adding ponderous drum patterns making it perfect for the floor. conversely, steve bicknell takes on >unforeseen<. with its fast paced rolling bass it is now put into top gear shivering with feverish reverberations. to compliment each variation, included on the ep are fixmers own live versions that have energetically filled dance floors throughout his tour.
